Installing clamav and issues installing.
Step 1)
Log into WHM on https://x.x.x.x:2087 (replace x.x.x.x with your server IP)
Step 2)
Once logged into WHM, click on the cPanel icon on the far right.
Step 3)
Click on the “Manage Plugins” icon to view the list of cPanel pluggins.
Step 4)
On the Addon Modules page, scroll down until you locate “clamavconnector”.Check the box titled “Install and keep Updated” and scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”.
Step 5)
Monitor the clamavconnector installation, the install will take around twenty minutes to complete.It should complete with the following:
Note that zlib version checking is disabled by default.However, the server should have zlib 1.2.2 or greater installed.Older zlib versions have security exploit concerns.ClamAV is now installed.
Issues:
The most common reason why ClamAV will fail to install on a cPanel server is licensing issues.The clamav addon is free, however the following may occur if the cPanel license isn’t registered as a pro lincense:
Pro license should be activated:
If this happens, open a web-browser and navigate to http://pro.cpanel.net/activate/
Then enter your server IP address and click “activate”.
The license should be registered and ready to go at this point:
Now proceed back to step 4 and uninstall and reinstall clamavconnector and clamav will be ready for use.
