You need be sure that wine, cabextract and pygtk (need for gui installation) is installed.

If you are using ubunutu try

instead of

{codecitation} ./ies4linux{/codecitation}

In the graphical interface that pops up, check IE7 and start installation. Now you can access internet explorer as follows.

/root/bin/ie7{/codecitation}

If you are getting some errors like
